Shabbat, the seventh day, is an opportunity to step out of the everyday and re-connect – to ourselves, to our families, to our community, and to our world. Shabbat gives us a moment to pause and breathe in a world that seems to be ever-moving. Every 144 hours we reset our internal clocks, welcome the presence of Shabbat, and create the world we wish to see.
Fridays at 6:00pm
Oneg means delight or joy in Hebrew, and that’s just what you’ll find at Am Shalom’s Oneg Shabbat. It’s a bridge between the busy-ness of the week that was and the peaceful pause that Shabbat brings. Mingle over a nosh and wine, connect with friends, meet new people, and take a breath before or after the service. All are welcome.

Shabbat is the perfect antidote to today’s hectic world – a time to recharge, reconnect, and refresh with family, friends, and community. Our Friday evening services are uplifting, thoughtful, and multi-access. Filled with music of varying styles, we balance familiar melodies with new and innovative interpretations creating a spiritual blend between the sacred and the secular. Sermons offer us time to pause and reflect, weaving timeless Jewish wisdom into the realities of everyday life.
Services run approximately 75 minutes and follow the Reform siddur (prayer book), Mishkan T’filah. All are welcome!
One Friday/month at 5:15pm
