Adult Learning

Intro to Judaism is an engaging multi-session course for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of Jewish life and discover what could be meaningful to you in liberal Judaism. This course is designed for individuals and couples from diverse faith traditions, cultural backgrounds, or no religious upbringing, and is welcoming to interfaith couples, those raising Jewish children, spiritual seekers, individuals considering conversion, and Jews seeking a rich and engaging adult Jewish learning experience. All people, perspectives, and questions are welcome.

Classes are held at a rotation of all the participating Reform North Shore synagogues: Congregation BJBE (Deerfield), Am Shalom (Glencoe), North Shore Congregation Israel (Glencoe), Temple Jeremiah (Northfield), and Sukkat Shalom (Wilmette).

Shabbat Morning Service & Torah Study Minyan
Saturday mornings at 9:00am

We gather in the Library every Shabbat morning for a short prayer service followed by a deep dive into the week’s Torah portion. This is an intimate, friendly session; no prior Torah knowledge is required to participate fully. All are welcome – the coffee machine is on and bagels are always served.
