1. What first drew you into the Am Shalom community, and what has kept you connected over the years?

Our family was initially drawn to Am Shalom for the outstanding Jewish education—Hebrew school, Sunday school, and our children’s B’nai Mitzvot which were meaningful milestones for our family. Over the years, it’s the warmth of the community and the lifelong friendships we’ve formed that keep us coming back.

2. When you think about the future of Am Shalom, what do you hope it looks like for the next generation?

I hope Am Shalom remains a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant home for Jewish life—one that continues to offer opportunities for spiritual growth, learning, and fellowship for families.

3. What has inspired your generosity as a supporter of Am Shalom?

Our sense of belonging and the many ways we’ve actively participated—from Shabbat services to lifelong learning and trips around the world—have inspired our giving. Traveling with Rabbi Steve, the other clergy, and fellow congregants has been transformative, educational, and fun. We always return home with fresh insights and an appreciation for Jewish life and culture abroad.

 4. Do you have a favorite Am Shalom memory or season that feels especially meaningful to you?

Rosh Hashanah always feels particularly special–the prayers, the music, the promise of renewal of the New Year. But the most unforgettable moments have been watching our grandchildren celebrate their B’nai Mitzvot at Am Shalom.
